Gotta start somewhere...

Ummm... so I attempted at blogging a few years ago, and after a while I got bored - or shy - and just shut down the project. It was called Strazzavodka (old nickname, no funny alcoholic stories behind it, just my last name's similarity to vodka brand names, sorry to disappoint) and it was basically a collection of randomness.

Today, I have to blog for class. Yep, I'm back in the bloggosphere because of an assignment. Honestly, I thank the teacher who has forced me to start writing again. I've been wanting to "come back" for a while, but haven't done so due to a lack of focus and ideas. Sometimes I think it's more like a lack of discipline, actually. In fact, a couple of people I've met recently at IE Business School have told me that writing and blogging is more about discipline than about having something incredibly groundbreaking to say. So here I am, following their advice and working on my class assignment... writing this very awkward "second first post" for a blog that's supposed to be about Digital Media Management or anything related to social web.

Even though this is supposed to be for class, I have decided to make it more about how technology is changing the way we live. The digital media management part will be just a few posts - initially the 5 to 10 that the "distribution strategies for technology products" class requires - and then I'll take it from there.

Just to close this first entry on a personal self-reminding note: "I am doing this little project more for me than for class, because I want it to help me grow out of my blogging stage fright and become more actively involved in the discipline of communicating my critical, analytical thoughts".

Cheers to that!
